International 180/185 club.

Our club is now affiliated with the US club. They have an interactive website which can be found at www.skywagons.org . There is lots of tech info from old newsletters and membership lists etc. I have forwarded details of our financial members to them, so you can access the “members only” part of their website.

Log on to update your details as follows:

Those with email should check that your email address is correct, as this will be required when you first log in and are sent a password(to the email address that I have sent them). The web address is www.skywagons.org and go to the members only area on the nav bar on the left side. Log on by going to the search roster. Type in your email address where it tells you to, and follow the instructions. You will then be able to alter you own details as required. The site has heaps of old tech letters available for printing etc. I will have admin rights to manage who is financial and who isn't. if you have any problems, phone or email me.

AD’s and sqwawks.

There is an AD on control yokes for 180/185 types. It concerns corrosion in the bottom part of the column. There have been failures leading to loss of elevator control.

Keep an eye on your tail-springs. Most of you will know I had one break clean in july this year. I have a 1” spare for emergency use only, if you are desparate. I ended up with a new one from XP Mods in the US. $2600 AUD including a new swivel head. It even swivels properly now. I would consider having the spring checked by MPI every couple of years, especially if you are operating from rough strips.

I hope that everyone has a safe Christmas and new year. I will be out of circulation for a bit, until we come to terms with our newborn baby.
