days, but if just visiting for an icecream at the store, you can also scramble down to the beach from the airstrip for a picnic lunch.

Engine control cables. By cracker.
I know engine control cables are expensive, but you should pay extra attention to them. I pulled my mixture control cable out of the panel the other day. That was 2 days after a 100. Had it happened in flight, the results may have been less than good. I don't have a safety spring to send the mixture to full rich. I will shortly. Have a good look at them next time you have the cowls off.
Rudder pedal mounts.
please check your rudder pedal mounting blocks for security at the next 100. have just found mine to be torn out of the bulkhead onto which they are mounted. the bolts had pulled through the bulkhead. could have been amusing in the wrong situation. my 185 has 8600hrs on it. check it out .

Everyone should have their flight manuals sorted out by now. I have seen a few of the members solutions to the problem. All would appear to be on the right track. Don't be complacent about the extension that CASA has allowed. If you don't have a genuine excuse for not having complied, I am sure they will cause you  some grief.

Elephant north by Todd Miller.
Unfortunately the Saturday was a day of rain, hail and wind. 30 gusting 50 with inter's and tempo's galore.
Not even a case of flying around scuds. Probably best spent in front of the fireplace.
Many people rang apologizing for not coming but it was a day that really wasn't worth pushing.
It was disappointing as we had arranged lunchtime entertainment in the form of the aussie flag arrival via parachute and an aerobatic display. Even a bit of radial engine action but I guess some things are not meant to be.
Sunday was much improved so we gathered as many family members as possible to eat lunch and drink beer.
We didn't quite empty the fridge.
We were very appreciative of Gary Gardner popping across from Leongatha in C185 VH-FLU to fill in the afternoon.
Anyway I guess we can't complain to much about the weather with many parts of the country dry.
We look forward to our third Muster next year and hopefully some sunshine on that day
